About Me!

Hi everyone! You may or may not know me, so I wanted to give you a little bit of a background of who I AM! smile emoticon

Ahhh where to begin...:) (It's a bit long so stay with me <3 )

I am a Mommy, a wife and an Elementary School Teacher of 5 years. 

One day-- I decided I wanted to change lives and help people feel healthy and happy. 

I have been married to the love of my life for almost 4 years and we have a beautiful little boy who fills my heart with so much joy. He is in full toddler swing and keeps us busy for sure!

Eating healthy and being active has always been important to me, but I have had some odds against me. I have battled with my weight off and on since I was about 12 years old. I have constantly had to be cautious of my eating and work hard to maintain a healthy, fit body. Then, my mid twenties hit, the stress of college, planning a wedding and beginning a new career all caught up with me. I had gained a lot more weight than I realized and I began a very strenuous workout regimen with P90X. I definitely noticed a more toned physique, but I wasn't loosing weight.

I was feeling fatigued, depressed and having serious mood swings. It wasn't until after my wedding in 2011 that I went to a doctor that specialized in internal medicine and nutrition that we discovered the underlying reason for all of my drawbacks. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, iron deficiency and estrogen dominance. All of these things were adding on the fat, pounds and the feeling of defeat. Finally, I felt like I had some answers. With prescriptions to reverse all of the damage of my hormone imbalances I began to lose weight, regain confidence and energy. This gave me a whole new motivation to work towards a healthier me again.

Then, in January of 2013 my husband and I were blessed with the news that we were expecting a baby in September. I was so incredibly happy because the doctors told me getting pregnant may be a challenge because of all the hormone and thyroid issues. We were overjoyed! But of course with the pregnancy came weight gain...a lot of weight gain. I gained 42lbs with my pregnancy, which didn't bother to much while I was pregnant, but after my c-section and a few weeks postpartum the weight wasn't going anywhere AT ALL  and I felt horrible about myself.

I was nursing my newborn, but the weight just kept going up.  In March of 2014, my son was 6 months old, I was 202 lbs, a size 16 and still wearing my maternity clothes! Enough was enough! So, I found an eating plan that I could follow without worrying that it could hurt my milk supply. I lost 25lbs over the course of 6 months and I was thrilled, I was down to a size 12. However, I still felt yuck. With this particular weight loss program, there were a lot of processed foods that I was eating that I didn't realize at the time, were terrible for me. Around my son's 1st birthday, September 2014, I hit a plateau and started to experience some unpleasant symptoms again. As many other women have experienced, having a child throws hormones all over the place. Well for me, this happened as I was weaning my son from nursing.

I continued to nurse until my son was 14 months old (November 2014), he was eating more solid food and it was just time to end this very successful journey. However, with that came more feelings of extreme fatigued, having mood swings all over again, again the weight started to slowly creep up again. Right away I knew I needed to go back and see my doctor. After more blood work it was confirmed that my thyroid medicine needed to be increased and my hormones were off balance again and estrogen was taking over. My doctor increased my Armour Thyroid and I started to slowly feel better, but I still just wasn't me. For months I kept hoping things would get better and I started jogging a little bit, trying to get the weight off. But, nothing was happening.

Finally in March 2015, a very close friend and now Coach, invited me to join a challenge group. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I was willing to try anything. I joined my very first challenge group with the 21 Day Fix program and Shakeology. Within a week of drinking Shakeology I had more energy than I had in years and I had lost 3 pounds! I was eating clean, whole, healthy foods and cut out all processed foods that were full of preservatives and ingredients that I couldn't pronounce. Through online support groups, in home workout programs, super-food DENSE nutrition, I lost weight, gained CONFIDENCE, joined a community of ENCOURAGEMENT, and I am TRULY comfortable in my own skin!

After completing my first challenge I could see amazing transformations happening to my body! I had lost about 10 lbs and 7 inches and I felt great! Immediately I decided I wanted to help people. I wanted to help others who have been struggling like I have. If I could save ANY ONE person the lengthy trial and error of diet pills, injections and fad diet plans that I had tried, it was worth it! 
I also desired financial freedom for my family! I wanted to earn extra income that would allow my family to travel and enjoy life! I figured, what a better way than to work from home doing what I LOVE to do, have the FREEDOM to make my own hours and be my OWN boss all by helping OTHERS.

As a new Coach, I was nervous, I didn't want to be salesy, I made mistakes, I asked a million questions to my sponsor coach and team. I didn't know how to coach people or be a leader of a team. I also was worried that I would't have time. Besides being a wife and a mommy of a busy toddler, I have a full time job as a Teacher. But, with tons of support from my team, support from my family and asking God to help guide me through this journey...I went for it FULL FORCE.

My Coach assured me that we were in this TOGETHER and she paved the way toward SUCCESS through unlimited trainings! Meanwhile, my health was in check for the first time in a VERY long time and I was losing weight, getting stronger and feeling AMAZING! 
I am now in better shape than I have been through all of my 20's!

I've met incredible people! I LOVE everything about this coaching opportunity! I love the challenge groups, new people and their stories, goals being reached and lives FOREVER changed all because someone had faith in me to help guide them through their journey. The most important thing is that they believe in themselves and know that this journey is not about being PERFECT, it's about PROGRESS. Everyone has their own story and their own journey and we are all starting somewhere different, with different goals and for different reasons.

I am not perfect, and I am still working towards being in the best shape of my life, but I am well on my way. I want to make my family proud and lead by example of a healthy lifestyle.
I had not been this strong and healthy since my high school graduation 11 years ago. I am not trying to be a super model and there is no PERFECT size, but my goal is to reach a healthy BMI weight of 140lbs. As of July 1st, 2015 I had lost a total of 45 pounds since March 2014 ( 65 lbs since my sons birth on 9/12/13) and my current weight WAS 157lbs! 



I was so close and what's most important is that I am healthy and very happy which has made me a better wife, a better mommy and a better ME! I made a promise to myself that I would go into my 30's healthier than I've ever been and I did! My 30th birthday was September 11, 2015...I also found myself pregnant with baby #2 4 weeks before my birthday!
